There were times people could barely get through the doors Saturday at St. Michael-Albertville Middle School West.

The St. Michael-Albertville Women of Today's 25th annual fall craft show drew in one of their busiest turnouts to date.

"We had people wall-to-wall," said Laurie Daniels, president of STMA Women of Today. "We've always had good attendance, but this seems to be a little crazy."

More than 200 vendors sold Thanksgiving and Christmas items, clothing, jewelry, purses, decorative signs, candles and soaps, kitchen accessories and hundreds of other items. Tables filled the gym at the school, and vendors were found along almost every hallway on the first level of the school.

"It's been a non-stop, fun day," Daniels said. "It's one of our better shows."

She said the show has traditionally been the biggest in the area, and vendors along with attendees travel from surrounding states for it.

Daniels said the group's spring craft show is not as well-attended — the timing of the fall show allows people to start their holiday shopping.

The crafters were happy with the turnout, and the shoppers enjoyed the show, she said.

"It takes many, many hands to pull all this off," Daniels said. "I'm really proud of it this year."
