Albertville Lions Hosting Fall Sportsman's Extravaganza

The Lions Club will take its Sportsman's Show to the Crow River Sportsmen's Club for this year's event, which is set for Saturday, Sept. 8.

The are gearing up for Fall with our 4th Annual Sportsman’s Extravaganza Saturday September 8, 2012.  

The event is moving this year to the Crow River Sportsmen’s Club located just off County Road 116 and Hwy 241.  We have some new events this year including a Meat Trap Shoot and Archery events.  We are bringing back the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Laser Shoot, Silent Auction, Raffle and Vendors.

At least 17 vendors have reserved spots to be part of the event. They include Archery, Custom Ear Plugs, Thirty One Bags, Game Processing, Firearm Training, Fishing Tackle, Blinds and Feeders, Trailers, Free Chair Massages, Fawn Petting Area and more.

Admission is free. Food Concessions will be available for sale including the Infamous Trap Shoot Beef Sandwich. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The club is excited to offer great raffle prizes again this year including a Lake of the Woods Guided Walleye Fishing Trip for six people, Cabela’s Gift Cards, Archery Packages, Pheasant Hunt, Custom Walleye Rod, Honda Generator, Ice Fishing House, Gun Safe and Cash.

Raffle tickets are still only $10 each, and are available by contacting Lion Sharon Edelman at 763-425-4230. Tickets are also available on the day of the event at the park.  The raffle drawing will be held at 6:30 pm.  

"Each year we are trying to bring together people interested in raising awareness and generate funds for one of our most valuable resources- nature" said Event Chair Lion Jeff  Edelman.

Money raised from the event will be going to provide assistance for area organizations.  In the past we have given to the Boy Scouts, Pheasants Forever, Youth Gun Training Programs, Wood duck Habitat and others.
