UPDATED: Deputies Rescue St. Michael Man after Crash
A routine car accident quickly turned into a life-or-death situation in downtown St. Michael earlier this month.
UPDATE (Feb. 20): Names of those involved have been released to local media.
The deputies who assisted on scene were Chad Torkelson and Todd Olson. They were aided by resident Ryan Goth, who happened to be a witness to the scene.
Capt. Greg Howell of the Wright County Sheriff's Department told the North Crow River News all three men could be commended for their quick thinking and brave action taken to save the man's life.
If that occurs, it would most likely happen during a St. Michael City Council meeting in the near future.
