Distractions to Offer Free Thanksgiving Dinner in St. Michael
The restaurant is taking reservations from anyone who would benefit from a complimentary dinner on Thanksgiving Day.
Distractions Food & Drink in St. Michael will offer a free traditional Thanksgiving dinner to spread the feelings of gratitude and generosity to those who might otherwise not have a Thanksgiving dinner this year.
"It's a good kickoff to set the tone for a giving holiday season," said Julie Pittman, owner of distractions "We want to offer a place to go for those that can't travel to be with their families, for those people that would normally be alone, or someone that is not able to cook a traditional Thanksgiving meal."
The restaurant is taking reservations for the event — to reserve a spot, call 763-497-3408.
The dinner is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving Thursday.
"Please pass our message on to those that may benefit," Pittman added.

No one in STMA should be alone this Thanksgiving. I have heard of this wonderful opportunity and the Olson family cooking for those in need at Hanover City Hall on Thursday ( and delivering meals to shut-ins). The Lions Club give-away the other day at Marketplace, I also know of a family willing to buy you a Thanksgiving Meal - that you can cook at home.....wow, endless giving. So glad to live in this generous community. We need to reach out to those without computers and e-mail to get the word out....neighbors, friends, coworkers?? Spread the word. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone. LB
