The day started drearily Sunday, but by the end of the Albertville Friendly City Days Grand Parade, the community festival had worked its magic again.

"I don't remember the last time it rained on the day of the parade," said this year's chairman, LeRoy Berning. "We've been pretty lucky."

Clouds moved out, and the parade rolled on.

Parades are fun however it would be nice if people could be reminded of a few simple things to make the experience better

Kids riding bikes down the middle of a parade route is not a good idea.

Teenagers grabbing candy away from much younger children essentially not giving them a chance.

People walking down parade route after their portion is over. It seems rude.

Am I alone on this?
