Girl Scouts Day of Service a Success in Albertville
The Centennial Day of Service was a big success in Albertville this past Saturday.
Over the weekend over 300 Girl Scouts from the area worked on improving the local watershed by raking and bagging up leaves, marking storm drains and hanging door hangers.
The girls spent most of Saturday's rainy morning with their troops and when all was said and done 1186 bags of leaves were bagged, 395 door hangers hung and 59 storm drains were marked.
"The weather is perfect, we've had a great turnout and I'd call it a success," coordinator Jen Peltz said Saturday. She also thanked the city of Albertville and Adam Nafstad for their assistance. "Without them, today wouldn't have been possible! Thank you!"
