St. Michael-Albertville FYCC Goes to the Dogs with Third Show
The family-youth connections team had a good turnout at the St. Michael Rec Fields for last weekend's show, which was claimed by a white lab.
The FYCC hosted their third Dog Show and Pet Expo last Saturday at the Rec Center in St.Michael. Many families attended with children who could enter up to nine classes in the dog show with their companion dogs.
Included in the judging was FYCC’s own Sandy Greniger, Amy Sandmann of Amy’s Canine Connections, Jenny DeLorme owner of PetStretch LLC, and the guest judge was Will, who had the privilege of winning the Grand Championship in their last show.
All participants of the dog show took home a trophy and a goody bag for attending. First through Third Places were honored with a ribbon and recognition from the audience. Those with First Place ribbons were then sent to the Championship round to complete for Grand Champion.
Winners included: Lulu The Sheepdog for Best Groomed, Koko Bean the Pomeranian for Best Costume, Betty the Chihuahua for Best Costume, Ellie the White Lab for Best Tricks, Sadie the Cockapoo for Best Handler, Noodles the Yorkie for Smallest Dog, and Best Kisser went to Rosie the Maltese mix. This year’s Grand Champion was Ashley with her White Lab, Ellie. The team wowed the audience with agility and handling skills. They brought home the most adorned title and the Grand Champion Trophy.
The Pet Expo had various vendors including the Black and White Bakery for dogs, KLN Family Brand Holistic Dog Foods, Willow’s Dog Wash Mobile Grooming, Glossy Paws Photography, Amy’s Canine Connections, Petstretch LLC, 99 Perspectives Photography, amongst many others selling delicious goodies and jewelry.
