Ukrainian Delegation to Visit Albertville, St. Michael Today

In reciprocation for a tour hosted by a Ukrainian community last spring, the cities of St. Michael and, specifically, Albertville will host tours and demonstrations for their new friends today.

The City of Albertville declared the week of September 25th Ukraine week as the counterparts city administrator Larry Kruse met in Boryspil, Ukraine back in May are now here in Minnesota touring and learning.

Today is Day Three of the Minnesota portion of the civic leadership exchange, and  plans are in place for the cities of St. Michael and Albertville to welcome these new friends to town and show them about Minnesota life in Albertville and St. Michael.

The day will begin at Albertville City Hall for a session including discussion on local government’s role in economic development. City administrators from Buffalo, Delano, Hanover and St. Michael will be present along with Albertville city staff.

Following the session the group will have a true Minnesota lunch prepared by seniors from the Crow River Senior Center. A true taste of Minnesota will include hotdish.

Finally the group will embark on tours of the MnDOT Research facility, J&B Group and also the St. Michael City Center before spending some time at the Albertville Premium Outlets.
