St. Michael-Albertville teachers and students participate with local first responders in the 2012 edition of the mock crash.
The St. Michael-Albertville School District teamed up with a local drug awareness campaign to host a mock crash portrayal at the St. Michael-Albertville High School Tuesday.
The Methamphetamine Education and Drug Awareness (MEADA) Coalition of Wright County, with the cooperation of the St. Michael-Albertville MEADA group and school district presented the mock crash to educate students about the dangers of drugs, alcohol and driving while under the influence.
The mock crash showed the scene of a car accident involving a group of high school-aged students who have been driving under the influence and texting. The group has hit another family.
Adult and student actors enacted he scene and were assisted St. Michael fire and rescue, Albertville fire and rescue and other local emergency response personnel.
