Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration
St. Michael City Hall, 11800 Town Center Driver, St. Michael, MN | Get Directions »
FREE
This festive event will include caroling by STMA Chamber Choir, holiday stories read by Friends of the Library and local Rotarians, and a special visit from Santa. Free hot dogs, chili, cookies and cocoa will be served while supplies last. The event will include a toy and children’s book drive for the Hanover Area Food Shelf. Attendees are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy or children’s book.
The tree will be lit by St. Michael’s first-ever “Holiday Cheermeister,” Walter "Jim" Pichler, who was nominated by the community and selected by STMA Rotary and Shop Saint Michael.
The Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration is sponsored by STMA Rotary and Shop St. Michael. It is made possible through a grant from Rotary District 5950. The
tree, a Serbian Spruce, was donated by Shop Saint Michael and was planted by Schulte’s Greenhouse & Nursery of St. Michael. The Rotary District 5950 grant funded the
purchase of LED lights (blue, white and gold in honor of Rotary and STMA Schools), two public benches, a decorative trash receptacle, and electric service.
