Annual Pink Street Party Oct. 3 in Buffalo

Spend an evening honoring, celebrating and remembering those who have experienced cancer.

The Buffalo Hospital Foundation will be hosting their fifth annual “Pink Street Party” 4-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013 in downtown Buffalo on 1st Avenue South.

Downtown Buffalo will be illuminated with pink lights at 8 p.m. The lights will shine throughout the month of October in honor of people who have experienced cancer.

  • Music
  • Street vendors
  • Food, wine and beer
  • Free gift bags for the first 500 guests to check in.
  • Most retail shops will be open.

Honorees will receive a personal tribute card and recognized at the lighting ceremony, according to organizers.

“The money raised during the last four years at the Pink Street Party has made possible the creation of the new Virginia Piper Cancer Institute – Buffalo Hospital.  Now, those dealing with cancer will receive all services in one new location on the hospital campus,” said Karla Heeter, director of the Buffalo Hospital Foundation.
