Minnesota DNR Holding Hunting, Fishing Equipment Auction in Zimmerman

The auction is set for Sept. 28, 2013 at Hiller Auction Barn.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources will hold a public auction of confiscated hunting and fishing equipment 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Hiller Auction Barn in Zimmerman.

Those interested can inspect items 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 and 8 a.m. Saturday.

Hiller Auction Bar is located two miles east of Highway 169 and County Road 4 intersection in Zimmerman.

Auction items include, according to the DNR: firearms, bows, tree stands, fishing rods and reels, tip ups, traps, trail cameras, spotlights, ground blinds and a hand ice auger. More than 40 bows and 200 firearms will be available. A preliminary list of auction items is on the Hiller Auction website.

  • A background check will be done of bidders on site before gun(s) are released.
  • Proceeds from the auction will be put in the Game and Fish Fund, which funds fish and wildlife management in Minnesota.
