Snow almost Certain in St. Michael as other Cities Tackle Elections

One in five Twin Cities metro school district voters have bond issues on the ballot today, while St. Michael and Albertville are on the sidelines for this off-year election.

As the wintry forecast continues to take shape, thousands of Twin Cities area voters will head to the polls on Election Tuesday with hundreds of millions of dollars on the line for several school districts.

Not here, however, where St. Michael-Albertville is now in its second full school year with a 2011 operations levy under its belt. That levy will run through 2021, if allowed to run its full course.

Here’s a couple of headlines for today.

Several Metro Districts Asking for More Dollars

School Districts in Inver Grove Heights, Apple Valley/Eagan and Woodbury are among the number of those going to voters today to ask for millions of dollars to fund educational programs through levies.

Voters will decided on operations levies, bonds to build new buildings in the metro area and technology levies.

Multiple Patch sites around the area will have complete election coverage today from around the Twin Cities.
