Child Foster Care Holiday Party Spreads Cheer

The Wright County Human Services event celebrated with 17 foster families.

Difficult family situations lead many children to enter the foster care system through Wright County Human Services.

To spread cheer to these children and the foster families caring for them, the department hosted its annual holiday party this month in which 17 foster families and 21 foster children attended.

Festivities included frosting cookies, making woodwork crafts, bowling, and decorating picture frames.

"We were very excited that Santa himself was able to make an appearance, hand out gifts, and take a picture with each child in attendance," said Michelle Miller, social service manager for Wright County. "We saw many smiles and had an amazing time."
