Church Services Set for Holy Week in St. Michael, Albertville

With Easter arriving Sunday, the week of solemn remembrance and preparation starts tonight at many local churches, and concludes with a day of celebration Sunday.

 As Lent winds to a close and Holy Week arrives, churches will welcome families to special services throughout the rest of the week, culminating with Easter Sunday celebrations Sunday.

Here’s a look at the docket for St. Michael and Albertville worship services.

A celebration of Holy Thursday takes place tonight with mass at 7:30 p.m. Friday, there will be living stations at the Historic Church at 8 p.m. Church services are also set for 3 p.m. at the main church.

Easter Vigil Mass is 8:30 p.m. Saturday (with no 5 p.m. mass celebration).

Sunday, services are at 6:30 a.m. (sunrise), 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. There will not be a 6 p.m. mass Easter Sunday.

A Holy Thursday mass will be celebrated at 7 p.m.

Stations are set for 3 p.m. Friday, with a Good Friday service at 7 p.m.

Easter Vigil will be celebrated at 8:15 p.m. (with no 4 p.m. service this week).

Sunday, services are at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.

A Maundy Thursday ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. at the St. Michael Historic Church.

Friday, a passion enactment will be at 7 p.m. at the St. Michael Catholic School (in the cafeteria).

Services Easter Sunday are at 9 and 10:30 a.m.

“Nobody’s Perfect,” Easter celebration services are set for 9:30 and 11 a.m.

Prior to that, there will be a Saturday celebration for volunteers from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Westbridge meets at St. Michael-Albertville Middle School East.

 

Connect Church will have Good Friday Services from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Easter Sunday, breakfast will be served from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. (come anytime). Services are 10 a.m.

Good Friday services are set for 7 p.m.

Easter Sunday, Sunday School begins at 9 a.m., with services at 10 a.m. Youth group is set for 5:30 p.m., and adult bible study is at 6 p.m.

Maundy Thursday services are scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

There will be a Good Friday ceremony at 7:30 p.m. as well.

Easter Sunday, services are set for 7 a.m. (sunrise), 9:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
