Frugal Finds: As the Cool Weather Sets In, St. Michael Has Some Hot Deals

Get out and enjoy the end of a cool, crisp week with some of these deals from St. Michael Patch.

We bring these to you each week to make life a bit easier, and your wallet a bit heavier.

1. Entertainment: Get out and enjoy the biggest football game of the season this weekend for less than $10. Nope, it's not the Gophers or Vikings, it's St. Michael-Albertville, hosting Rogers. We predict one of these two teams will take the Mississippi 8 Conference Championship, and this game will go a long way toward deciding that result.

2. Schulte's Greenhouse and Nursery in southern St. Michael has a host of fall specials, including fall shrubs and trees that can be planted for next growing season. Mums are always a hot, fall specialty, and the gang has those in supply as well.

3. Looking for a Halloween costume? Check out the old Hummer dealership in Rogers. Yep, someone's finally going to use that building, at least seasonally. The store was loading new spooky supplies last weekend, and should be up and running soon. It's located just west of Target and Kohl's.

4. The Albertville Premium Outlets have a couple of stores with some great specials. Timberland will offer 30 percent off most everything in the store if you're a VIP shopper. Sign up on the Premium Outlets website. Also, OshKosh has coupons that arrived in the mail a couple of weeks ago (check your pile of papers) that offer 25 percent off, good through Sept. 21.

5. Gas prices are down, and you can continue to save. Super America will double any gas coupons on Tuesdays, and also offers a discount if you use your Speedy Rewards card. Also, Little Dukes continues to accept 5 cent coupons from Coborns when you buy more than $50 worth of groceries in the store.
