GALLERY: Bikes Out in Full Force For Maddy, Chad Smith Ride in St. Michael-Albertville
The cloud-covered skies were no match for the smiles that lit up Dittos, Neighbors, and all points in between.
Consider the 2011 edition of the another unprecedented success.
For the second straight year, friends of the late Chad Smith rallied to remember their friend, brother, cousin or family member. People also reached out to little Maddy Wenner, a 9-year-old who is battling cancer for the second time in her young life.
Maddy's smiles, though, told the story Saturday morning as the riders prepped to take off from Ditto's in St. Michael. She sang, danced and got a special ride on Harley from one of the ride's organizers, Tobey Berning.

The bikes took off in a three-minute procession from Ditto's, made their way through western Wright County and into Stearns County, then make the trek back to close the night at Neighbors Eatery and Saloon in Albertville.
This year's ride had more than 200 registered riders (some additional rides joined in along the way), and more than 400 guests turned out at Neighbors.

"We'll have a check for Maddy later this week," Berning said.
