How do I make a great parade?

Friendly City Days Parade Has A Bit of Everything

Over seventy-five floats, bands and luminaries moved along Main St. in Albertville on a Sunday afternoon. Despite the lingering threat of rain, several miles along the parade route were lined with spectators from the area. From start the finish, the parade lasted close to three hours, and parade hosts Brittany Crocker and Jacob Bebeau offered their color commentary the entire time.

The hosts took some time after their marathon on the microphone to share a few tips and pointers for making a great community parade. Enthusiasm and advertising were the key, they said, in addition to a good mix of marching bands and creative floats. Most important, they both agreed, was candy.
