I-94 Lane Closures Between St. Michael, Monticello Begin June 3

The closures are anticipated to happen during the overnight hours.

Lane closures for Interstate 94 travelers between St. Michael and Monticello are scheduled to begin Monday, June 3, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. 

The I-94 lane closures between Crow River bridge near Highway 241 in St. Michael and County Road 18 in Monticello will be intermittent during the overnight hours potentially causing traffic delays.

"The closures are needed as crews resurface and repair the road, install high tension median guardrail and make other road repairs," according to MnDOT.

Ten miles of westbound Interstate 94 and 1.5 miles of eastbound Interstate 94 from St. Michael to Monticello will be repaired during the summer of 2013, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation

The $8.4 million project rehabilitates concrete pavement, resurface ramps and shoulders and other areas on the roadway.  Shoulders and ramps on Highway 241, County Road 19 and County Road 37 are to be resurfaced.
