St. Michael-Albertville Schools Closed April 11

The St. Michael-Albertville School District announced this morning there will be no school today, due to the inclement weather conditions.

The St. Michael-Albertville School District canceled classes for April 11 Thursday morning after snow continued to fall combined with overnight freezing rain.

Superintendent James Behle confirmed the cancellation of classes in the district with Patch about 7:30 a.m. Thursday morning. The announcement was also posted on WCCO.com, which stated "St. Michael-Albertville Public & Parochial" were "closed" today.

A notice was posted on the STMA Schools website a short time later stating:

School is closed today, Thursday, April 11 due to the weather. If your child tells the driver that there is no parent at home, the driver will take your child to school. Thank you

National Weather Forecasters say the worst snow will hit between 8 a.m. and noon. A winter storm warning remains in effect until 7 p.m. Thursday.
