St. Michael, Midwest Prepares for 'Historic Cold' Sunday Night

Just how cold? Some of the deepest temperatures we've seen below zero in more than a decade and a half.

Air temperatures in St. Michael will be like an escalator ride going down, down, down this weekend—from a high of 19°F on Friday to a low of -25°F Sunday night, according to the National Weather Service

The NWS has issued an Wind Chill Warning that extends over four days—from 6 p.m. on Saturday until noon on Tuesday.

Public schools across Minnesota are closed on Monday, and many may close Tuesday as well. For now, the state is leaving that up to local districts to decide next week.
