Upcoming St. Michael Library Programs

There are several upcoming free events at the St. Michael Public Library.

There are a couple free events coming up at the St. Michael Public Library.

On Monday, Oct. 22, the St. Michael Public Library is offering a storytime for ages 18 months to 3 years from 10:05-10:55 a.m. This is a program for children to enjoy together with a parent or caregiver; siblings are welcome to attend. The theme for this Toddler Storytime is Monsters. The attendance limit is 20 and preregistration is required.

Later on that day the library is offering a Princess Art Class and a Pirate Art Class for children ages 5 to 10. Both classes will be presented by Abrakadoodle, an award-winning arts education organization. The attendance limit is 20 at each session and preregistration is required. This program is funded in part with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

The Princess Art Class will take place 4:00 to 4:45 p.m. Celebrate all things magical as you make tiaras, create a beautiful princess painting and more. Learn to walk, talk and curtsy like a princess, read a princess story and more. Costumes are welcome.

The Pirate Art Class will take place 5:00 to 5:45 p.m. Make a pirate ship out of clay, go on a treasure hunt to find buried treasure, and more. Along the way listen to pirate music and read pirate stories.

On Wednesday, Oct. 24 the library invites families with children of all ages to Count Whackula’s Things That Go Bump In The Night. The ghoulishly fun adventure will take place from 6:30-7:15 p.m. This interactive magic program is designed to motivate kids to read during the fall season. It is funded in part with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. The attendance limit is 100 and preregistration is required.
