Westbound Interstate 94 Down to Single Lane Until Wednesday

A buckled concrete panel has traffic congested through Albertville via the freeway. Workers hope to have a repair in place tomorrow morning, but not before the morning rush.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has closed the right lane of westbound Interstate 94 one mile west of Wright County Road 19.

The lane is closed due to a buckled concrete panel.

Crews have been working since June to rehabilitate Interstate 94 between the Crow River Bridge and Monticello. The piece of blown road lies within that stretch of construction.

Crews will repair the segment of pavement overnight tonight, and all westbound lanes will reopen by 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 31.

That means the closure will be a factor for those heading out of the Twin Cities for tomorrow morning's workday.
