Winter Weather Advisory, Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for Wright County
The National Weather Service warns freezing rain with a mix of snow will make travel conditions difficult in St. Michael and Albertville.
A winter weather advisory is in effect for Wright County through midnight tonight, meaning that snowfall, freezing rain and sleet will cause slippery roads and limited visibility, according to the National Weather Service.
The advisory went into effect at approximately noon Sunday.

Around 2 p.m., the freezing rain turned to snow across the region, including the Twin Cities metro area. Up to one-tenth of an inch of ice is expected in the St. Michael area, followed by one to three inches of snow.
A hazardous weather outlook has also been issued for today and tonight, and the National Weather Service is warning drivers to especially be cautious of untreated roads:

THE FIRST OF SEVERAL WAVES OF LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE THROUGH THE REGION TODAY AND TONIGHT. FREEZING RAIN...SLEET AND SNOW ARE EXPECTED THROUGH TONIGHT. PRECIPITATION AMOUNTS WILL BE FAIRLY LIGHT BUT THERE STILL MAY BE ISOLATED TRAVEL CONCERNS... ESPECIALLY ON UNTREATED AND LESSER TRAVELED ROADWAYS. .
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY:
ADDITIONAL LOW PRESSURE WAVES WILL PUSH THROUGH THE REGION MONDAY INTO TUESDAY...CONTINUING THE CHANCES FOR FREEZING RAIN...SLEET AND SNOW. THE PRECIPITATION WILL EVENTUALLY END AS ALL SNOW BY TUESDAY. PRECIPITATION AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE LIGHTER BUT THIS MAY BE ENOUGH TO CAUSE TRAVEL CONCERNS.
