St. Michael's Neighbor Goes Pink for a Purpose

Breast Cancer Awareness Month kicks off in Buffalo Thursday with a party that has made national headlines over the past four years.

The Buffalo Hospital Foundation’s 4th Annual Pink Street Party will take place on October 4, 2012 from 4 to 9 p.m. in downtown Buffalo, directly across from Buffalo Lake.

The Pink Street Party is a unique event hosted by Buffalo Hospital Foundation to honor those who have experienced cancer, elevate cancer awareness, and enhance Cancer Care Services in our community. Every dollar raised stays in our community.

Please join the Foundation as it illuminates downtown Buffalo with Pink Lights at 8 p.m. These lights will shine throughout the month of October. Honorees will receive a personal tribute card and will be recognized at the Lighting Ceremony.

“It is going to be incredibly moving when we throw the switch and thousands of pink lights glow in honor of lives touched by cancer. Nearly everyone can think of someone who has been affected by cancer in some way. The Pink Street Party is a powerful event to remember them,” said Karla Heeter, Director of the Buffalo Hospital Foundation
