Businesses from the Towne Lakes area of Albertville - and beyond - beat the heat Wednesday night with their second annual Block Party.
The event, organized by InFit and Anytime Fitness of Alberville, featured food, music by local artist Shane Martin, games and a visit from the Albertville Fire Department ladder truck.
Andy's Pizza handed out free slices, while D. Michael B's slathered folks in rib sauce.
"Great turnout," said InFit owner Ashley Darkenwald. "I always love to see what a supportive community we have. It's fantastic."
