Updated: Albertville Restaurant Site Getting Another Shot

Windows never lie.

According to a sign on the old Pubhouse 19 location, Albertville and St. Michael residents can look for a new bar and grill at the spot soon.

Willy McCoy's is taking shape at the site, which sits to the west of Coborn's on LaCentre Avenue, just off County Road 19 on 5651 LaCentre Ave. In the past decade, the spot has been known by a series of names, including Majors Sports Cafe.

The new bar/restaurant recently received approval from the Albertville City Council for a on-sale liquor license, Sunday sale liquor license and license to be open until 2 a.m., according to a report in the North Crow River News. Owner Tom DeQuattro reportedly told the council the business is anticipated to open in September.

Pubhouse 19 closed earlier this year, one day after Easter Sunday.
