Frugal Families: St. Michael Daze Offers Families Fun on a Budget

From a garage sale to a free circus (for kids), the weekend is full of family fun for a song.

We’re into the last month of summer now but there is still summer fun to be had and some good local deals out there. Here’s some things worth checking out this week:

1: D’s Family Pizza has another special going on.  Large 2 item pizza and family style cheese bread $14.99. Add a second large 1 item pizza for $9.99

2: has a special sidewalk sale going on Friday and Saturday.

3: St. Michael Daze and Knights is THIS weekend. There will be a parade (remember, parades are always free!) at 1:30pm on Saturday and fireworks that evening as well. There will be inflatables instead of rides this year but lots of fun to be had. Keep checking Patch for more details as the week goes on. And don’t forget to come and meet Patch at the business expo Saturday!

4: Ice Cream! Now that the weather’s cooled down you can bike or walk to the local frozen treat stores for an evening treat. Culvers still has their 2 p.m-5 p.m Happy Hour going on. Buy One, Get One Free! Also, this Thursday at Dairy Queen is Childrens Miracle Network Day and $1 from each blizzard is donated to the Childrens Miracle Network.
