Kremer's Toy and Hobby Grows, Gears Up for Grand Opening Events

The new Albertville business will have children's activities and more during their grand opening week July 21-27, 2013.

Five months after opening their doors in Albertville, Kremer's Toy and Hobby has their shelves fully stocked and ready for a weeklong grand opening celebration.

Ruth and Ken Kremer opened Kremer's Toy and Hobby earlier this year near the intersection of County Road 37 and County Road 19 in Albertville, west of the Mobil Station.

“Business has been steady, and we're constantly working to expand our selection for customers,” Ruth said. They anticipate reaching their 10,000th transaction during the grand opening weekend.

The reception from the community to their opening has been “very positive,” according to Ruth.

“We have a lot of people that are extremely appreciative that we are here, so they don't have to drive downtown to get their radio control and model supplies,” she said. “In addition, people seem really excited about the amount of ‘old time’ toys that we have (toys from when parents were around), so it's a great mix of old and new.”

Since March, the business has more than doubled their radio-controlled vehicles inventory, added a full selection of Magic the Gathering cards and will be carrying the Settlers of Catan line within the month.

“Our toy selection is always changing. Right now our John Deere toys and ride-ons have been very popular. We have over 100 different outdoor-play products as well for the summer. Last, our canning supplies are fully stocked, ready for garden vegetables,” Ruth said.

Kremer's Toy and Hobby launches their grand opening with “Christmas in July” starting Sunday, July 21. Bingo will be available from 1-5 p.m. and children will be able to decorate Christmas ornaments. Drawings and specials will continue throughout the week. On the final day, the store will post a Yo-Yo Competition Saturday, July 27 (registration required) and have refreshments, drawings, and a bouncy castle for customers.

Kremer Toy and Hobby is open from 10 a.m. to 8p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. It is located at 11011 61st St. NE. in Albertville.
