Nearby News: Gander Mountain Announces Upcoming Opening in Rogers
After closing its Maple Grove store about a year ago, is reportedly opening a "Gander Mountain Firearms Super Center" off of Interstate 94. The business is remodeling the former Best Buy site in Rogers.
After closing its Maple Grove location about a year ago, Gander Mountain is preparing to reopen in nearby Rogers.
The 30,000-square-foot facility is located at 20870 Rogers Drive near the Intersection of I-94 and Highway 101 in the former site of Best Buy.
Gander Mountain stated it would be opening in late April, according to a press release.

It will be the 12th store in Minnesota, according to a Gander Mountain press release, which said it is the state’s first dedicated “Gander Mountain Firearms Super Center.”
Gander Mountain said the Firearms Super Center is a “new concept” which provides a specialty retail outlet with “thousands of new and used firearms of all kinds” as well as a selection of “firearms accessories, specialty apparel, ammunition and security.”

“Gander Mountain is already recognized as the firearms experts, but with our latest Gander Mtn. Firearms Super Center we are taking the experience of shopping for firearms and accessories to an entirely new level of selection and service,” CEO of Gander Mountain David Pratt said, according to the press release. “We are excited to bring this new retail experience and opportunity to the people of Minnesota and we’re confident that our unmatched selection and the expertise of our specialists will make this a premiere destination for those with an interest in firearms.”

“The City of Rogers is truly excited to have such a high-quality, Minnesota-based retailer like Gander Mountain coming to our community,” said Rogers Mayor Jay Bunting, according to the press release. “Rogers is the 'Gateway to Minnesota's Northland' for much of the Twin Cities and we are pleased that Gander Mountain recognized our city as the best location for their new store in the northwest Metro.”
