New Business: Affinity Hearing Opens in St. Michael

A new business will be opening its doors to the St. Michael area community starting Friday, Aug. 16.

Affinity Hearing-St. Michael, located in Marohn’s Marketplace at 900 Central Avenue East, provides a hearing testing and evaluations all ages-children to adults, hearing protection products, hearing aids and more.

It will be the second location for Affinity Hearing. The Plymouth location opened in 2003.  

“I decided to open up a second office after hiring a new audiologist in late 2012.  I researched demographics of Minnesota Cities within a 50 mile radius of our Plymouth office and found that St. Michael had quite a few people over the age of 65, which is the biggest population that I serve,” Owner Steve Chargo told Patch in an email.

After presenting to a group at the Crow River Senior Center, which was well received, he said, and determining there were not other audiologists nearby, Affinity Hearing decided on St. Michael as a second location.

“We are very excited about Affinity Hearing- St. Michael,” he said. Chargo and Dr. Sarah Nordberg will staff both the St. Michael and Plymouth locations.
