Reader's Choice: Patti J’s Earns Best Breakfast Award

St. Michael Patch readers made Albertville's "diner" the best spot to start the day.

Everyone knows breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and St. Michael-Albertville diners prefer to kick start their morning with some grub from .

Albertvill’e Patti J’s restaurant has been making waves for the last 18 months, with food made-to-order, and breakfast served most of the day.

Named after owner Siros Svolopoulos' then-5-year-old daughter, Patti J's has a larger seating area and a few more menu options than the space's former restaurant. The new café serves breakfast all day along with lunch and dinner.

"We want to be a hometown, family-type place for the community to go to, different from a franchise place," Svolopoulos said. "We're not looking for people coming to Albertville for the outlet mall; we're looking for people who are already here that are looking for a good place to eat."

It appears the public is coming around. Seniors have made Patti J’s a regular stop for morning coffee and grub. And families enjoy the specials and quick service.

If you miss breakfast, don’t worry! Some of their specialties include their sandwiches, broiled chicken and their soups, which are homemade by Svolopoulos' Greek father.
