Simpli Soleil in Albertville to Close its Doors Saturday

The clothing boutique and tanning salon was not getting enough business to stay open.

Albertville's Simpli Soleil, a clothing boutique that has been a favorite to many locals, is closing its doors for good Saturday.

The independently-owned boutique that also offered tanning and airbrush makeup services came to Albertville about two years ago. The tanning service was doing well, but owners Brooke Langva and Bobbi Kasper said there was not enough traffic at the store for the size of their space.

"We had very, very supportive regular customers for both the store and tanning," Langva said. "A lot of people have been in here sad and crying — a lot of people are sad to see us go."

She and Kasper are also sad to shut down, but in the end, it's the best route to take given the circumstances, they said.

The store will stay open through Saturday at 4 p.m. Tanning services will be offered through Friday.

All merchandise in the store is 75 percent off for the closeout. Items have been selling quickly all week, Langva said.

The store is open Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Simpli Soleil is located on 61st Street Northeast, between Caribou Coffee and Subway.
