Tina Windom of Albertville said she hasn't seen her daughter, Cossette Carr, a freshman at , since she told her family she was going to bed early Friday night.

"She said she was really tired and was going to head up to bed. The next morning, she was just gone," Windom said.

Windom said she quickly contacted the Wright County Sheriff's Department and they picked up the case. From what she and investigators have been able to piece together, they think Cossette took off for Faribault, MN, where her friend, Patrick O. (last name withheld because he's a minor), 16, lives.

"He's living in Faribault with his mother. He's supposed to be a sophomore there," Windom said.

Investigators and Windom have both had conversations with Patrick's parents, but the mother has cut off those lines of communication. Patrick is also not talking to either Windom or police.

"They were at first. We were talking to her. But now they just aren't answering any calls or texts," Windom said. "It's frustrating. We're down here [in Faribault] now trying to find her, but we need people back home to keep an eye out in case she comes back."

Windom said family and friends are hanging up fliers with Cossette's picture. She said she's willing to take any tips, even anonymously.

"I'll just relay the information to the police. I don't need to let them know who told me what. I know kids can be kind of skittish about that," Windom said.

Cossette is 5 feet, 3 inches tall with brown hair and red highlights that is down to the middle of her back. She weights about 110 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and white jeans. She would be carrying or accompanied by three bags–an Asking Alexander "shoe bag," a Hot Wheels backpack and a Sponge Bob backpack–her mother said.

If you have any information about the whereabouts of Cossette Carr, contact the Wright County Sheriff's Department at 763-682-1162. Or, call Tina Windom or text her at 763-300-2518.

"I just really want my baby girl back," Windom said. "Please pass this message on to everyone."
