Ramsey County Judge Hands Down Key Ruling in Minnesota Shutdown

Many, but not all, state functions can continue even if impasse moves beyond tomorrow's deadline.

Gearin's summation, which can be seen with this article, states that many services can continue beyond the July 1 deadline, which is less than 48 hours away.

Services such as state prisons, state hospitals and even local governments will still receive payments, the ruling states, following many of the opinions argued by Minnesota Attorney General Lori Swanson.
