St. Michael Catholic School Makes Historic Move, Adding Middle School

It's the first expansion in decades for the Catholic school, which has consistently served students up to sixth grade.

St. Michael Catholic School is announcing a huge change for its more than 300 students this week.

Principal Jennifer Haller and staff released information Tuesday that, after successful meetings with more than 100 parents from around the community last week, the Catholic school will be adding seventh and eighth grade, with Grade 7 coming onboard next year, and eighth-graders joining the fold in 2012.

“It’s a huge step for us,” Haller said. “The support from parents has been amazing.”
