St. Michael Lions to Give Away Thanksgiving Meal Baskets
The St. Michael Lions will be giving away Thanksgiving Meal Baskets on Saturday in the Marketplace parking lot.
A week from now some of us will still be stuffed from a Thanksgiving meal shared with family and friends, yet some families are struggling this time of year and not sure how they'll put a nice dinner on the table next Thursday.
The St. Michael Lions Club has a solution. Thanks to Marketplace, the group was able to purchase items for a complete turkey meal at cost and will be giving away Thanksgiving Meal Baskets on Saturday to any family needing a complete Thanksgiving meal.
The baskets will include a 15 pound turkey, five pounds of potatoes, stuffing and all the fixings. Rumor has it there may even be pie.

There are 150 baskets and the Lions hope to make the process easy for everyone — they will be handing out the baskets in the parking lot by way of a drive-up service from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17.
"We hope to make a lot of families Thanksgiving a little better," Chris Schumm, St. Michael Lion said.
