UPDATE: Wallet May Give Wright County Lead in Albertville Robbery

An anonymous resident turned in a wallet in Delano that has been linked to the armed robbery at Casey's General Store Monday night.

Wright County investigators may have picked up their first physical lead in an Albertville robbery that sent one man to the hospital Monday night. 

A wallet turned in at Delano City Hall has been linked back to an employee of the Casey's General Store in Albertville. 

Three men robbed the  in Albertville at gunpoint Monday around 11 p.m. Monday night inside the station. The men, all wearing dark clothing and masks, robbed two employees at gunpoint, demanding cash. They also took wallets from the employees.

The wallet was turned in anonymously, so deputies and investigators are asking that person to step forward to assist with the case.

Wright County deputies were on scene "within minutes," Monday night, said Capt. Greg Howell, but officers were unable to locate the suspects.

One Casey's employee was transported to New River Medical Center via Allina Ambulance after complaining of chest pains. 

The incident remains under investigation, and is the first armed robbery in either St. Michael or Albertville in 2011.
