YEAR IN REVIEW: St. Michael Patch Top Story #3 The Loss of a Student

A 16 year old St. Michael-Albertville High School student died suddenly in September.

As we continue recapping 2011 and the stories St. Michael Patch covered, this one is a tragic loss all too soon. was just that.

According to a release from the Wright County Sheriff's Department, a 911 call was placed from a St. Michael home around 2:05 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19. The call reported a 16-year-old male was not breathing. When first responders arrived CPR was being performed on the victim. Rescue efforts continued until 3:05 a.m., when the victim was pronounced dead. Within days of Harrington's passing, to help support the family at the Wells Fargo located inside Marketplace.

According to his obituary, Harrington had a beautiful smile, a great sense-of-humor, and loved to make people laugh. He loved extreme sports, especially snowboarding, dirt bike riding, weight lifting, and all watersports including cliff diving.
