STMA teachers, coaches, and advisors go the extra mile!

The STMA Certified Teaching Staff would like to extend a belated “Welcome Back”  to all students, staff, and parents to the 2013-14 school year.   In keeping with our school motto, “Excellence is Our Tradition”, our local teacher union is very proud of both the Academic and Extra-curricular programs here at St. Michael-Albertville schools. The entire staff at STMA has dedicated an enormous amount of its time and talent to provide very inclusive and successful programs for students.   Across the board, these programs are known for producing excellence in competition and for the quality of professionalism, integrity, and respectability our students learn and demonstrate as they compete both here at home and on the road.    A recent news report on WCCO emphasized the numerous positives that students in a high school setting gain from participating in after school activities of all kinds.  They learn to work together in teams, strive to be the best, and accept gracefully both their successes and failures as they go through life.  Academics are certainly an important part of the lives of our students, but the activities they select express their passions and give them great outlets for continued growth as young adults.

The residents of the St. Michael-Albertville community should be proud and willing to financially support both the Academic and Extracurricular programs at STMA.  We encourage all community members to contact your School Board member and Superintendent and encourage them to negotiate a fair and equitable contract for both Academic and Athletic programs.   No discussion of “Excellence is Our Tradition” should take place without mentioning the dedication of our teachers, coaches, and advisors in these conversations.  These folks, who work with our talented young people, have helped them produce a long list of awards and accomplishments over many years.     This impressive list of accomplishments by our/your students will be posted in segments in the coming days.  Stay tuned..........
