St. Michael Allina Clinic Collecting Used Bikes for Kids

Thousands of bikes have been collected and redistributed through the provider's Bikes4Kidz Campaign.

Buffalo Hospital and Allina Medical Clinic - AnnandaleAllina Medical Clinic - Cokato andAllina Medical Clinic - St. Michael, part of Allina Health, are teaming up with Free Bikes 4 Kidz for the third year in a row to again collect donated bicycles for kids in need throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Kids will also receive free bicycle helmets and concussion prevention information from Allina Health when the donated bikes are distributed later this fall. Free Bikes 4 Kidz is a non-profit organization geared toward helping all kids ride into a happier, healthier childhood by providing bikes to those most in need.

"Biking can be a life-long pastime. Many of our employees are avid cyclists, and we want to help make it possible for every child to participate in this healthy, fun and environmentally-friendly activity," said Kenneth H. Paulus, president and CEO of Allina Health. "We want to put kids back on the streets. Biking is fun, a great way to get around and excellent exercise."

People can bring new or gently used bikes to Buffalo Hospital or the Allina Medical Clinics in Annandale, Cokato or St. Michael on October 12 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. For a complete list of collection sites, go to allinahealth.org/fb4k. For more information or to volunteer, visit FB4K.com.
