Nominations sought for St. Michael’s ‘Holiday Cheermeister’

The person selected will light St. Michael's new holiday tree.

Honesty, fairness and the promotion of goodwill and friendships are characteristics of the next St. Michael "Holiday Cheermeister."

The selected individual will have the honor of lighitng St. Michael's new holiday tree Nov. 27 at St. Michael City Center. St. Michael-Albertville Rotary and Shop Saint Michael are taking nominations for the cheermeister until Oct. 31.

Nominees for Holiday Cheermeister must be either St. Michael residents, be involved in a St. Michael organization or own or work at a St. Michael business.

Nominees should be actively involved in the St. Michael community, embody the holiday spirit, and exemplify the rotary’s "Four-Way Test," which asks: of the things we think, say or do: is it the truth; is it fair to all concerned; will it build goodwill and better friendship; and will it be beneficial to all concerned?

Nomination forms are available at Shop Saint Michael businesses, St. Michael City Hall, and at www.stmarotary.org.

The Holiday Cheermeister will be selected by Shop Saint Michael and STMA Rotary and announced in mid-November.
