Westbridge Church to Share Story of Incredible Forgiveness!

Forgiveness is a tricky topic!  While we often think that forgiveness lets the offender "off the hook", more often than not, forgiving someone who hurts us is the key to letting ourselves off the hook!  We think it sets "them" free, when in reality, it sets US free!  Free from having to carry the weight of what we feel has been stolen and what we feel they owe us! 

This weekend, Westbridge Community Church right here in St. Michael has an opportunity to explore this topic of forgiveness in a very unique way by hosting Mary Johnson & Oshea Isreal!  Mary's son was killed by Oshea in 1993.  After more than 10 years in prison, Mary decided to visit Oshea and begin the process of forgiveness!

Today, they are next door neighbors in North Minneapolis, and Mary is like a "second mom" to Oshea.  But it isn't something that happened overnight! Together, we will learn what the process of forgiveness looks like through the eyes of someone who lost a son, and hopefully gain some fresh perspective into our own lives in the process!
