Albertville visits Monticello

Our weekend in Monticello
This past Sunday, Albertville royalty spent their day at the Monticello Riverfest. We started our morning off with the parade and sure enough the clouds cleared as soon as we got moving! We were very early in the parade so we were lucky enough to be able to watch some of the parade with our families after we were done. Then we headed down to the park located right on the Mississippi River! What a gorgeous place! We took our juniors with us to have a delicious chicken dinner right there in the park. The Monticello royalty and their candidates were dropped off at the park in a bright pink limo. Our juniors thought that was pretty cool! We then headed to the river to take some pictures in the water. Just as we finished, the duck drop took place. That was a blast to watch. I had never seen or heard of such an event before! Concluding the day was the crowning. With Monticello being so close to us, we knew many of the girls that were candidates . We had gotten to know the Monticello royalty well during our first month and it was sad to see them go! Lots of tears in the sparkle section. This was also the second coronation our juniors were able to attend with us and they loved it! The new Monticello royalty girls seem amazing and I look forward to getting to know them better throughout our time together.
