Hi my name is Maverick. I am in first grade at Fieldstone Elementary. My favorite thing to do at school is play with my friends at recess. My Miss Albertville Senior candidate is Callie. I would like to be an Albertville Junior Commodore because I think it would be cool. It looks like fun to ride on the float and wave at people. Plus, you get candy at parades like on Halloween but you don’t have to keep saying “Trick or Treat”. My favorite part of Friendly City Days is the bumper cars. You don’t even need a license. I am not sure if I want to try any of the scary rides though. I am looking forward to summer because I will be playing baseball, swimming and jumping on the trampoline.
At “Meet the Float” day I got to sit on the actual float and take pictures with the current royalty. During the Junior Finalist Selection day we got to meet the judges and answer questions. We also played games and I even won a kite. I practiced flying it as soon as I got home. I also liked our bowling event at River Lanes because I got to hang out with the two current commodores and the other candidates. Braden only beat me by 2 pins!
So far I am having a lot of fun doing the candidate events & meeting new people. Watch for me on a convertible with Callie in the Friendly City Days parade.
