Meet the 2012-13 Albertville Princess Sarah

Hello Everyone! My name is Sarah Hakel and I am your 2012-2013 Albertville Princess.  I graduated from St. Michael-Albertville High School last year and now attend college. 

I am extremely honored to represent our community and have enjoyed every
minute of it! I am very sad for my reign to be ending soon but so excited to
crown another amazing young lady to represent our city next. I have written up
a brief reflection of what my experience has been so far.

I started my amazing journey with the Albertville Royalty Program last April when candidacy season started. My favorite event during candidacy was The Zimmerman Wild West Parade because it showed me what parades (and my summer) would be like. All of us candidates got to meet visiting royalty from neighboring communities and spend the day with the 2011-12 Royal court.

During my reign so far I have learned a lot about my community and even
myself. I learned how amazing it is to be involved within the community. By
being involved I have met a lot of very helpful and kind people in STMA. Being
an ambassador for our community has taught me a lot about how to carry myself
and how to do public speaking. One thing I have enjoyed the most is that I have got to spend the last 9 months with my royal court and our families. My favorite event was the Wright County Fair and Demolition Derby because we were able to go to the reception and coronation, mess around on the rides, and then get down and dirty with front row seats at the Derby. 

This program is a great character builder and opportunity. I am blessed to have been given the chance to represent our city for the past year. My year was made up of amazing new memories, friends, family, and a huge sparkle section! Thank you to everyone who has helped make this year one I will never forget. Although I am very sad to give up my crown, I am extremely excited to crown the next Albertville Princesses for the 2013-14 year!
