Heat can't stop Albertville from being friendly!!

Most people start to bring out their fall clothes towards the end of August, but that wasn't the case on Sunday. on August 25, we broke the weather high of 94 and setting it to 98. How crazy?! Smart people would have locked themselves indoors or have gone for a swim. As much as I would have loved to do either, I got to do something else I love doing, being a princess. We attended the Woodbury Days parade. We all knew it was going to be hot, but not that hot. Luckily, right bu our float spot was a church that was open and encouraged everyone to use the air conditioning. I was very thankful to have that blessing of air conditioning. We sat in there and mingled until the parade started. We even met a special guest inside... Santa Clause!!! He said he was on vacation, and loved out crowns and commodores. Another thing I am thankful is our wonderful parents. Not only are they awesome in general, but they do everything they can to make sure we are comfortable and at our best. I really appreciate all that they do. Without them, we all would have passed out from lack of water or something. I went through five water bottles on the float, and I am sure everyone else did too. I hope everyone stayed cooled and safe that day. Most of us suffered some heat exhaustion, but I am glad everyone is safe and cooled off now. Maybe next time we will have to put our feet on cold water on the float!!! Princess Katie
