Educational Choices in St. Michael and Surrounding Area

An introduction to my blog about home education in St. Michael and Albertville.

I've been blogging for around six years or so, but I don't often write about our family's homeschooling experiences.

I'd like to start telling the story about our journey, as many people are very curious about homeschooling and have asked me many questions over the years.

My husband was raised in and went to Monticello public schools. I went to the Catholic grade school in St. Michael and public school in St. Michael after that.

Over the next few blogs, I'll share about how we came to the decision to home educate our children, our trials and errors (and successes!),  and reach out to other home educators in the area with this blog.

If you have any questions for me along the way, please feel free to ask me in the comments section. I don't speak for every home schooling family in the area, so please know that their journey may be very different from ours.

I am not anti-public schooling (some of my children go to public school), nor am I anti-charter/private school. I believe in educational CHOICE for ALL families.

I look forward to presenting ideas about home education and hearing from other homeschool/alternative learning families!

(P.S. After editing this post for spelling, I was reminded of something I've always found interesting...the words "home schooling, home school, home-schooled" are never in any spell check program! Hmmmm. ;)
