Upcoming Photography Classes at Maris Ehlers Photography

We have two great classes coming up on Martin Luther King Day. One for the adults and one for kids during their day off of school:

This fun and interactive workshop for kids in grades 2-5 is designed to be a hands on experience where they can learn to take better pictures AND create a one of a kind masterpiece from one of their photos taken at the class. 

We'll study light, how it affects pictures, how to take better pictures, and go on a local photo walk (weather permitting).  Throughout the day they will also work on a canvas art project to take home. 

Pizza will be served for lunch, and is included in the cost. 

Please have your child bring their camera, a freshly charged battery, card for their camera appropriate outerwear (snow pants, coats, hats, mittens and boots).

If you have a DSLR camera but aren't making the most of it, then this digital bootcamp class is for you. In a small, hands on setting, you will be able to learn how to get beyond AUTO on your camera and take better pictures of the people and things that matter as a result. 

We will focus on how proper exposure is achieved, what shutter speed and focal length have to do with it and 10 ways to take beautiful pictures with the gear you have. 

This class will be taught by Maris Ehlers, owner of Maris Ehlers Photography. Maris is a well-known portrait photographer in the Twin Cities, and her studio is right next door in Hanover!  She teaches classes only a few times a year, so don't miss out on a great opportunity to learn. 

Bring your camera and lens, manual, freshly charged camera battery and a clean disk / card to use.  

Cost:  $75 per person (must be paid at time of registration)
