Former St. Michael-Albertville Para Loses Daughter to Cancer

Friends and family from Monticello, St. Michael and Albertville joined the family of Tara Davis Sunday night as they mourned the loss of 18-year-old Jordan, who lost her fight against advanced rhabdomyosarcoma earlier that day.

Tara Davis, a mother of three and former paraprofessional, shared the new Friday night that her daughter, Jordan, was losing her battle with cancer.

In her words, the end "came so fast," as Jordan lost her fight, "earning her wings" as they say for children who fight cancer, Sunday morning. She passed away in her mother's arms, with her brother and her father holding each hand, according to a CaringBridge website Tara used to keep the community abreast of their fight.

Saturday, friends from the Davis' hometown of Monticello–Jordan was a senior at Monticello High–planned to carol on the front of the Davis' lawn.
